The Ram 1500 Hemi eTorque is a mild-hybrid system that combines the power of the 5.7L HEMI V8 engine with an electric motor and a 48-volt battery pack. This system enhances towing and payload capacity, and also contributes to improved fuel efficiency. The eTorque system replaces the traditional alternator with a motor-generator unit that provides additional torque during acceleration, especially useful when towing.
